Abandoned US Navy Douglas Super DC-3 on Sólheimasandur Beach, Iceland
In 1973 a US Navy Douglas Super DC-3 airplane was forced to emergency land on Sólheimasandur’s black sand beach on Iceland’s south coast. The haunting wreckage remains. March 1, 2017.
