17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Above the Clouds
The small village is San Jose del Pacifico in the State of Oaxaca, Mexico. This tiny village lies at 2500 meters altutide, often above the coulds. The place got it's name from the fact that on a clear day one can see as far as the Pacific Ocean.
