A.Chik Mande- The Old Generation

A.chik Mande means hill people (a·chik "bite soil" + mande "people"). The Garos are a Tibeto-Burman ethnic group from the Indian subcontinent. They are found in the Indian states of Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, and some neighboring areas of Bangladesh, notably Madhupur, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Jamalpur, Sherpur and Sylhet, Rangamati who call themselves A·chik Mande. Their old religion is Songsarek but 99.99% are converted into Christianity. Only fewer are left and they are still practicing Songsarek.
