My tour bus driver took me to Djoudj Park, a bird sanctuary. Pelican Island, in the middle of the park, is home to thousands of pelicans. The white adult pelicans opened their bills wide as they greeted each other. In the meantime, their black colored chicks waited anxiously for a regurgitated meal.
