The climb is to the old ancient town of Idanre on the hill which has the old primary school, court, prison, mausoleum where the dead kings were buried, an old palace and houses for the different chiefs and the people. History has it that the people moved to the Hilltop dues to the abduction of their children mostly by the people they were at war with.
