After the Festival

The image was taken in front of the Mill Colonnade in the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. Much of the building in this town took place in the late 18th century, and it was visited by many aristocrats, politicians, artists and very affluent people. On a quiet, warm summer's day, a couple of days after the Karlovy International Film Festival concluded, I sat in one of my favorite locations in the city and let myself feel the spirit that emanated from the place. As I thought of all who walked past the Mill Colonnade through the years, the building appeared more radiant. Since I frequently use an infrared camera I could think of no better way nor a better moment to capture it.
