After the Rains

The incredible islands of Ngerukewid in the Republic of Palau, with rain clouds passing over the ocean in the distance, are nature reserve since 1956. Climate change poses several threats, including coral bleaching, intense rainfall, sea-level rise, droughts and increased storm activity - as a result, Palau has enacted some of the strictest marine and environmental laws in the world, but requires cooperation from larger industrial nations to survive.
