I captured this image on a calm, warm afternoon in early November, 2022. As I was preparing for a photography trip to the bayou in Louisiana, I decided to make a quick trip out to one of the local cypress swamps here near Savannah to hone my skills and get in the proper frame of mind. I was stunned by how beautiful the scenery was when I got there. This is my favorite image from that day. I love the reflections of the trees and the soft afternoon glow of the cypress leaves both on the trees and in the reflections.
