"On National Wetlands Day, I took my camera to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands just off the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California. As the sun was setting in the Pacific Ocean, a fog began to roll in. I followed a Great Blue Heron through my lens as it flew overhead and landed on a row of tall agave stalks which provid- ed a Doctor Seuss-like silhouette against the filtered sunset."
