“akeli” mean alone, solo in nepali. “akeli” is one of people that i photographed on my series “portrait from Kathmandu”. i named her akeli simply because i always found her sitting alone at the same spot, never saw her with any company, never saw her talk or smile. and the picture is about a poor and not privileged woman who struggle on the street to survive,
