Al Khazneh
Reflected on the sunglasses of a policeman is Petra’s most famous site, the Treasury or al-Khazneh. However, it isn’t a treasury in reality... it’s a tomb of a Nabatean king! While still in remarkably preserved condition, the face of this 40mtr-high structure- chiselled out from a single rock- is riddled with hundreds of bullet holes made by treasure-hunters who hoped to dislodge riches that were once rumoured to be hidden within it.
