From the airplain I spotted the ancient city Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC. It was once a leading center of Hellenic culture and science, famous for the Lighthous of Alexandria. Key landmark include the ancient Library Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Today, the city retains great historical importance and is known for its multicultural heritage.
