Alien Shining

This kind of strange looking alien thingy is in reality an egg ensemble of the rusty tussock moth. I found it in the high grass close to a small pond. It was on my usual way passing the Hütter Wohld, a forest next to Rostock. The first pictures were made some weeks earlier also with the adult female, but this one was, because of the lighting, the best to be creative. This egg accumluation was very close to dead tree where in summer lizards are taking a sun bath.
