This was my first Mardi Gras, and I spent it in Mobile. I took over 200 photographs each day I went. This photograph was one of my better pictures because it shows the rings flying through the air and you can almost feel how charged the crowd was. I took my 80 year old grandmother with me and it was amazing to see how everyone watched out for her.
