Lions Mane is a spectacular edible and medicinal mushroom. This photo was taken in the southern mountains of Oaxaca, where it is very rare. I found this spectacular specimen while exploring inside a steep ravine in my rubber boots. I took this picture with a significant quantity of adreniline due to the significant quantity of thunder and rain that was approaching at the time of the shot. While it was tempting, I did not harvest this incredible specimen.
