Aloe plant growing at the scientific camp side in a desert

I spent a week in a desert (Estacion Atacama UC - Oasis de Niebla Alto Patache, Chile) with a scientific group at their camp. Arid lands of the desert featured just few tiny plants surviving in the dry soil. When I saw a big plant of Aloe (of a red color by some reason) at the station - I was amazed. Dusty plant watered poorly with water caught from Nieblina cloud by scientists was striving and growing in lifeless lands. This shot is inspired by sustainable and respectful attitude of conscious people towards nature.
