I took this photo at Ambleside Beach (Vancouver, BC) on December 28, 2020. Ambleside is my favourite beach in the city. Each time I feel down, I usually take a bus to the beach for a walk. I love street and landscape photography, so this beach is also one of my favourite photo spots. I took the photo in Winter break 2020 amidst COVID-19. That was a dark time in my life. I lived alone abroad, amidst covid with strict lockdown, having no friends or family around, dealing with a serious health issue. The photo brought me a sense of peace and calm that I needed in that challenging time.
