Sunrise at Tunnel View in Yosemite, NP. Made famous by Ansel Adams, catching the sunrise at Tunnel View is about as American as it gets in Yosemite National Park. The crowds arrive early (before 4 AM) to catch a spot along the wall. For at least ten minutes there is silence as the sun rises and sweeps across the valley. The only sound comes from fingers on the shutters.
