Silver Springs was once a premier destination for Florida tourists.  The popular television series Sea Hunt was filmed here, in addition to several movies including Tarzan.  Silver Springs is now cared for by Florida's park service and is home to more than 30 springs.  One will find glass bottom boats, winding trails, tropical leaves the size of a small child, and wildlife encounters at Silver Springs State Park.  This photo was taken on New Years Day 2020.  As we strolled along a boardwalk, meandering through the lush landscape of Central Florida, we encountered this grand and impressive reptile, the American Alligator. Because of the elevated walkway, we had a bird's-eye view. This vantage point allowed me to capture this shot.
