While visiting family who live near Niagara Falls, we sometimes walk across the Rainbow Bridge to enjoy the view of the falls from the Canadian side. On this particular day, the sole purpose was to take long-exposure photos, so I brought my tripod along in my backpack. When we arrived in Niagara Falls, Canada, there were no lines at customs, and it was clear that tourism was way down. With so few visitors at the falls, it was easy to set up my tripod right on the sidewalk without much concern about it being a tripping hazard.
