I couldn't believe my eyes...I had visited the Ottawa NWR many times, always watching for the best shots of eagles. Never did I get a pair sitting together. When I arrived, I was thrilled because the female was sitting below the male eagle. I saw one of the juvenile eagles fly into the same stand of trees. They all began calling to each other. What an experience! The female was so excited that she jumped up on the branch beside the male and their beaks were almost touching. Priceless eagle moment!
