The Amish have a mode of transportation that has become obsolete for Americans of today. They have been using horse and carriage or buggy since the late 18th century. This way of transportation is deemed simple yet it is forgiving to the earth. There are no emissions to tax the atmosphere and it's gentle to the environment. It is a way of living that leaves no trace behind when finished. Their carriages are passed along to the next generation where they are kept in good working order. A sustainable travel project is one that is good to the environment and good for the health of the people living in it. It is one that doesn't emit toxicity, one that will sustain earth and people living in it. The Amish deserve credit for keeping their sustainable culture and lifestyle that is a benefit to mankind. It is my opinion that this is a sustainable travel mode that benefits both people and earth.
