An Agricultural Town Devastated by Volcanic Ash

Two pickup trucks survey the current situation of the agricultural town of Agoncillo, Batangas, the Philippines where its once-abundant greenery has been cloaked with ash due to the phreatic eruption of the Taal Volcano last January 12, 2020. The explosion displaced more than 300,000 individuals and contributed colossal blows to the country’s agricultural sector with damages amounting to PHP3.6 billion.
