An all rooster story(not to mention men)...

After the harvest and during the winter solstice while treading along the dusty path of rural Bengal if you find yonder a crowd of local tribal people gathering with cocks in their hands or on their shoulders and hear the shout ' Juhar Juhar Marang Buru Hilli' (hail Marang Buru the saviour) , be certain that you are heading to an arena of cock fight. Yes the cockfight is still in vogue in the rural India especially among the tribal communities. The owner of the gamecocks take their cocks to the arena to try their luck in a bout or two. The cocks fight instinctively for their own survival that ultimately results to the death of one or escape from the arena.
