22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
An artist sketching away at Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada

Artist Becomes the Subject Matter Just like journalist live by the motto "report the story but don't become the story", similarly artists "sketch or paint the subject matter but often become the subject matter" by admirers. This artist became incorporated into the roar of the Niagara Falls. Tourists were complimenting him and his work. The artist soon found himself become the subject matter of the tourists. Tourists were interested in taking pictures of him and not the waterfalls.
