21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
An Eastern Bumble Bee and lots of Red Aphids.
I was looking for insects to photograph in flight when I noticed these Red Aphids spread out evenly on the stalk of a daisy. Suddenly this Bumble Bee landed with perfect timing.
