An endangered Greater Adjutant Stork scavenges in the Boragaon landfill located in Guwahati, India. The world population of Greater Adjutant Storks was estimated at less than 1,000 individuals in 2008. Wildlife is attracted to the landfill not only by the scavenging opportunities but also because it borders the world heritage site, Deepor Beel wetland.
