An Hawaiian monk seal camouflages itself amongst the rocks and pebbles of Ka'ena Point

Ka’ena Point is designated by the State of Hawai’i as a Natural Area Reserve to protect nesting Laysan Albatrosses and wedge-tailed Shearwaters and the Hawaiian monk seals. This seal was almost invisible upon approach due to the similarities of shapes and tones on the beach.
