While driving in what seemed the middle of nowhere about 1 hour east of Mammoth, I found myself fighting to stay awake as the hazy sun got lower in the sky. Shortly after coming over a pass, I saw this abandon shack to the side of the road. I wanted to convey the lazy late afternoon feeling of this area that seemed untouched by time.. An unusually late season storm provided the snow capped White Mountains as a backdrop to the sunlit remains of the building.
