This portrait was born on Asinara Island, a place of extraordinary beauty and profound historical resonance. It was here that I met Charlys, a young man of Congolese origin with undeniable talent and determination. We connected within the context ofù an international Art and Science research project, a fertile ground for exchange and discovery. "An Island in the Middle of the Sea" is not just a reference to the physical place where our paths converged; it's also a reflection on the human condition: our individuality, our unexpressed potential, and the surprising connections that emerge when different "islands" meet.
