On a chimpanzee trek in Kibale, Uganda, dubbed “the ape capital of the world", we spent half an hour next to a group of chimpanzees. It was an awe-inspiring experience. These chimps were lazing around and seemed bored in the early morning hour, yawning frequently. The fangs the yawns revealed were a clear reminder to the carnivore side of chimps - the only ape that is not strictly vegetarian.
