And Still I Vote (Someday)

At the foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge, a child holds a sign encouraging others to vote. This photo was taken during the 2020 march across the bridge that commemorated the March 7, 1965, crossing during the height of the civil rights movement. On that Sunday, armed police and posse members attacked unarmed activists, including later Congressman John Lewis, as they crossed the bridge.
