We tell each other stories to kill time, waiting for the moment time will turn the tables on us and kill us in turn. We watch people on brightly lit stages from rows of seats in darkrooms. None of the stories or the people are memorable, they are whispers on the wind, ghosts in the machine. And occasionally, there's a spark that lights a candle, for no one to see.
