I was walking along New Zealand's very dramatic Punakaiki Coast on a rainy, windy afternoon. The rough incoming surf appeared to emotionally match the dramatic, craggy cliffs in the background. I crouched down into the sand, hoping to reduce the effect of the wind on my 70-300mm telephoto zoom. The 1/1600 second exposure allowed the image to show good detail in the spray of the waves.
