All photos were taken in cape Opuk and Koyashskoye salt lake, located on the Black Sea coast of the Kerch Peninsula in Crimea. Koyashskoye salt lake is 4 kilometers long, 2 kilometers wide and a meter deep. It separated from the Black Sea by a thin strip of land. The beautiful water in the lake has the particularity to change color, depending on the light, time of day, season, due to the presence of microscopic pink-colored algae living in the water. When the water evaporates, the salt in the lake crystallizes on the stones and the shores, producing crystal stones and the scent of the viola. In this place you can feel like on another planet...
