Apache Crown Dancer Performing The Spirit Dance
Apache Crown Dancer performing Spirit Dance during festival. Established in 1974 as the Miccosukee Tribe’s showcase festival, Native American Arts & Crafts festival has grown into a multicultural celebration of indigenous cultures showcasing the arts and traditions of Native Americans, Amerindian, First Nations and Aboriginal cultures of the Americas. I waited in the front row of the dance circle for the Apache Crown Dancers to begin their Spirit Dance. Using a wide angle lens with a polarizing filter, I manipulated my angles to capture the spirit of the dance as well as optimizing the lighing situation.
