This digital photographic collage collates a bounty of photos from my photo collections taken in Athens, Greece and Brighton, United Kingdom - presenting an empty intersection with infinite streets and landscapes in the backdrop. This piece was created during the Covid-19 pandemic. My aim for this piece was to present and evoke the multitude complexities and questions regarding confinement and freedom, isolation and protection, and the value of human presence and labour, or the lack thereof. I hope to elicit a surprised and intrigued response relating to surrealism but mixed with reality that represents the contradictions and vaste changes we, as humans, have experienced since the start of the pandemic.
