My wife and I were flying from Telluride, Colorado to our home in Tucson, Arizona after a weekend trip when I snapped this picture from our small plane just a few minutes from landing. The sun was just setting behind mountains to the west, and all of the desert plants were green from strong monsoon rains, creating a rare light that perfectly highlighted the contrast of the Desert Southwest.
