This is the Milky Way in the Sierra Nevada during summer. After taking up night photogrpahy of the Milky Way, I have started seeking out dark skies and locations without light pollution. Two years ago I took up camping and this summer I did my first backpacking trip into the back country in the Sierra Nevada.
