Arrival of Autumn
Fall in the Tetons came early this year, with many of the leaves already in full orange by late September. Unfortunately, a lack of precipitation meant that the mountains looked mostly barren, until a few days in early October when several feet of snow dumped upon them. A following clear sunny day gave a great contrast between the orange trees with elk in the meadows, and the mighty snowy mountains behind them.
