Artist's Drive, Death Valley
Artist’s Drive is a stunning 9-mile route that winds through the foothills of the Black Mountains in Death Valley. The variety of colors are caused by the oxidation of metals: red, pink, and yellow from iron compounds, purple from manganese, and green from mica.
