21st Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
As the sun goes down, fog appears on the Carpathians
I stayed at a small village, where my uncle lived far away from the city. This photo was taken in Transcarpathia on top of the mountain. I captured a fleeting moment, when sun was about to go down and fog started to appear from below.
