During an ascent of Mount Baldy in early Winter, 2020, I hung back to adjust my microspikes on my hiking boots and noticed the scene, including my fellow hikers, above me. Looming in the distance was our destination, and my friends looked so small when cresting the first of many false peaks. so I had to peel my gloves from my hands and document the one way I could--with my phone. Battery draining rapidly in the cold, I snapped the shot and hurried on my way.
