19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Ascent Elbrus

The image shows a stream of Perseid meteors over Elbrus. In addition, the lights of the climbers from the northern assault camp are visible. The ascent to the mountain begins at night and lasts up to 9 hours. Equipment : Nikon D750, nikkor 16-35/4G (six frames with meteors), nikkor 50/1.4 D (a panorama of three vertical frames, each of which consists of nine frames to reduce noise). Programs: Secuator, Adobe Photoshop.
