Ashulia brick kilns people 2

There are more than 9000 Brick fields in Bangladesh scattered around the country. The industry creates employment opportunity for the poor community where approximately 350,000 workers are employed. Working for 8-10 hours a day in an unhealthy environment these brick kilns emit toxic fumes containing carbon monoxides and oxides of sulfur which are harmful to eye, lungs and throat. Moreover, the Brick field companies are also manipulating statutory regulations by paying these workers much less than what the other industry workers get. Even with all these realities surrounding, these low-educated workers mostly young do have loving friendship bondage amongst them. Between works they do make time to gossip and smile because they also deserve all the healthy facilities just like any other human being.
