This is training morning at a local training yard. They start early here so that the horses are back in their stables before the temperatures get too hot. I live in a rural department of France called 'La Mayenne,' which has a strong horse culture. This area is famous for French trotting horses, with stud farms and training yards everywhere. As a horse owner and equine photographer, I have really fallen in love with this hard working culture that involves all of the family. My family have been accompanying me on local photoshoots, where I have been photographing breeding horses and horses in training. It is hard to put into words how much these horses mean to their owners/trainers. But all I can say is, they dedicate their life to them in a very admirable and inspiring way.
