At Home
This is a portrait of a young pig-tailed macaque. Pig-tailed macaques are a vulnerable species. This young macaque is part of a large family that lives in a small patch of forest in the middle of the capital city. Their forest home is surrounded by a residential area and a golf course. They rely on the benevolence of the local people who bring them food. The destruction of their habitats pushes them to wander in residential areas to feed on scraps of garbage.
