I was on an adventure road trip with a friend of mine with the intention to see the Aurora Borealis. We started from Fairbanks in January, driving the Dalton Highway deep into the arctic circle, with outside temperatures as low as -40 Fahrenheit and no cities or gas stations around. Since it his quite dangerous to do this during winter, we needed two cars with nail spikes, a satellite phone, spare gas, towing rope, food supplies, and sleeping bags. When we reached the sign that marks the radius of the arctic circle, we were lucky enough to catch an incredible view of an ongoing aurora borealis.
