Autumn birch trees backlit by the afternoon sun

Birch trees in Ontario are an ubiquitous feature of the autumn landscape. Their peeling white bark and bright yellow leaves are unmistakable and make for wonderful photographic opportunities. I was driving near Algonquin Park in search of autumn colour when I came across this birch grove set against a contrasting blue sky.
