12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Autumn Chill
It finally felt like Fall on the day I took this photo in Columbus! Cool, crisp mornings and warm sunny afternoons were the norm for most of October, until October 17th. Then the clouds rolled in and we had two rainy autumn days. I don't mind cloudy days and when they occur infrequently they don't dampen my mood.
